Melissa Grant
I’m Melissa Grant, and I moved to Silverdale eight years ago for what was supposed to be a temporary job in event management. Somewhere along the way, temporary turned into a mortgage, a divorce, and a house on the north side that I’m still slowly renovating. I now organize conferences and corporate events, which probably explains why I notice service more than most people do. I have a seventeen-year-old daughter who thinks most of my opinions are hilarious, usually for the wrong reasons. I love old houses, live music, weekend road trips and places that actually surprise me. I’m equally capable of spending too much on a great dinner or getting ridiculously excited about a perfect $4 taco. Silverdale can occasionally drive me nuts, but I’ve lived here long enough that everywhere else feels slightly wrong. I complain when something disappoints me, but I’m just as happy to tell everyone when something is genuinely great.

Muddy Boots And High Heelsgraceobserves.com/muddy-boots-and-high-heelsIs This the Lisa and Audrey Website Now?
Okay, genuine question. When did Silverdale become the Lisa and Audrey show?
I like this website. I really do. I like reading about what’s happening around town, what people are doing, what they’re complaining about. Half the time it’s something completely unimportant, which is exactly why I keep coming back.
But lately, every time I visit, there’s Lisa Enzorini. Lisa has an opinion. Lisa has tested something. Lisa has another opinion about the thing she tested. And now Lisa has a podcast.
With Audrey Keller, naturally.
I have nothing against either of them. Audrey seems perfectly nice, and Lisa is probably great fun at parties, provided you don’t accidentally give her a microphone.
But seriously, aren’t there other people living here?
We have a university. We have local businesses. We have a newly renovated pier. We have a mayor starting her second term. There must be at least three thousand people in this town who haven’t launched a podcast.
I’d quite like to hear from one of them.
And before anyone suggests I just stop reading their stuff, yes, obviously I could. That’s not really my point.
I just miss opening this website and having absolutely no idea whose ridiculous little problem I’m going to read about today.
Anyway. That’s my ridiculous little problem for today.
